NACC Services

Home Energy SurveysNACC offer a Home Energy Service in partnership with Lightfoot of Bishops Castle.

This service trains volunteers from the community to carry out simple domestic energy audits, and these volunteers then are available to any householder in Newtown, to call at their home to collect information about their use of energy. This information is then analysed by an expert energy analyst at Lightfoot to produce a bespoke report for the householder on what steps they can take to reduce their energy use and hence carbon emissions.

If you would like to become a volunteer, or if you would like a home energy survey, please contact Terry Hegarty (see contacts us page)

Upper Severn Valley Community NewsletterNACC are now publishing a monthly newsletter for the Upper Severn region (Welshpool/Newtown/Llanidloes and surrounding villages) thanks to a grant from Awards for All.

This newsletter will be partly internet based and partly paper based. It will focus on "Sustainability, Localisation and Community Cohesion" and we will be keen to include details of events organised by any groups in the region that support these principles.

The latest copy of the newsletter can be downloaded from www.uppersevernnews.org.uk

Electric bike loansWe have an electric bike to lend to people for them to find out if it would be suitable for their commute to work. We have bought this bike with a grant from the Cooperative Community Fund. We make a nominal charge of £15 per week to cover the cost of the insurance. If you would like to borrow this, please contact us on 01686 650144
